"Blumana – Dealul Cetății." The client wanted the existing, uninhabitable attic converted into living space. Given the configuration of the existing roof and the advanced degradation of its structural elements, we propose reworking the roof through a new structure at that level. Its existing form is largely retained, with only the pitches being altered. Windows will be installed for efficient natural lighting of the attic, and the existing chimneys will be removed, as they no longer serve any functional role. The attic layout also includes a balcony cut into the roof's volume on the south side. On the first floor, some existing interior walls will be demolished to allow for a more efficient layout. The attic will become a modern space, naturally lit through Velux-type roof windows. Its interior design calls for minimalist furniture pieces and textiles in neutral tones — white, beige, grey, nude, black and similar shades.
